The twisting, sculptural form of Jinling Tower was designed to establish an iconic presence in the heart of Nanjing. A true synthesis of architecture and engineering, SOM’s design concept, which integrated an innovative diagonal mesh-tube structural frame, naturally expressed the changing program of office, serviced apartments, and hotel whilst achieving unprecedented structural efficiency.
