The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China is China’s second-largest bank. With over half-a-million employees and an emerging international presence, ICBC sought to create a nexus for the bank’s far-flung operations and a civic presence appropriate for the building’s location along Beijing’s main ceremonial boulevard, Chang-an Avenue.
