Chicago Central Area Plan
Chicago, Illinois
The Chicago Central Area Plan focused on the ability of the city’s downtown to increase density, accept a mix of uses, and strengthen its transportation. The Plan identified requirements for high-density, mixed-use, in-fill neighborhoods that honored Chicago’s urban character, enhanced its gravitational pull, and provided a framework to guide and support future growth.
