Brunswick Upper School complex project includes renovation of existing spaces into a Performing Arts Center and a Visual Arts facility as well as a new connecting passageway. The introduction of a dramatic 4,500 sf glass connector passageway and a new circulation core will improve circulation by connecting the five pre-existing buildings and creating one main entrance.

After creating an entire new campus for the Lower and Middle Schools at the Edwards Campus, SOM renovated Brunswick School’s Maher Avenue campus into an Upper School complex. This new entrance will provide space for gathering before classes and performances. SOM’s circulation solution will unite the existing campus visually and physically.

The old gymnasium is being converted into a Performing Arts Center that includes a black box theater, band and choral rooms, and a state-of-the-art auditorium. Another portion of the existing building complex is transformed into a Visual Arts Complex that includes art studios and computer graphics facilities.
