In 2004, Bowdoin College approached SOM to create a long-range framework for growth. The resulting Bowdoin College Planning Study now serves as a guide for campus development for the next half-century. Recommendations were based on the principle that sustainable new construction needed to be thoughtfully balanced with the existing buildings on a beloved and historic campus.
