SOM’s design for Alfa Bank’s new headquarters building reflects the prestigious and successful nature of the client by providing efficient Class A commercial space whilst achieving an iconic quality. The design comprises a series of simple rectilinear office buildings that satisfy issues of expansion, flexibility, efficiency, and ever altering market forces. Between the commercial functions, animated public spaces form a memorable sense of place and consolidate the iconic quality of the project.
